Why can't you buy mac cosmetics in stores?

i want to buy mac but i have to go to the mall and go to their counter and buy it, i just want to go to a drugstore and buy it thereWhy can't you buy mac cosmetics in stores?

the mac customer is not always the same customer that buys makeup from the drugstore. the mac ';brand'; and image is meant to be an exclusive brand-it is a professional cosmetic line. therefore, it is available online, in MAC stores or department stores only. if you are a part of the professional program it is mac pro. mac is also owned by Estee Lauder...a classic brand that is passionate about the heritage and placement of their products.





the customer that pays $5 for a lipstick is not normally the same customer that will pay $14 for a lipstick.
sorry, but you cant buy it at a drugstore only at counters in macys or nordstroms and at mac pro free standing stores. or you can order it online.

Because MAC is high quality and professional. It's a lot better than cheap drugstore make-up, so they have their own stores. Just like Coach doesn't sell their bags in drugstores, because they are high quality.
