I always feel bad going into a cosmetics store, like Sephora, and trying on the samples and not buying anything. My friends go in all the time and give each other makeovers and feel no guilt. I was wondering what people who worked at these kinds of stores think of this? Is it normal, or annoying and frustrating? Is it alright to try on a lot of makeup without intending to buy it?Ever worked at a Cosmetics Store?
honestly yeah..it is kinda annoying.
i work at ulta.
however, its all in the delivery. if the customer really is interested in trying a new product and may eventually get the item - then the person asking for a sample isnt really that bad.Ever worked at a Cosmetics Store?
I dun work in any cosmetics store but i guess its e same rule for all retailers %26amp; customers.
U try U buy = Traders Happy, U Happy.
U try try try = U Happy, Traders Pissed.
But personally I think there is nothing wrong to try n not to buy since there is such services provided in e first place. It make every sense for e sales person to find u annoying when u tried n not buying any. It is just human. However, I usually purchase n try, if i dun like it then i will skip e products next time.
i used to work at sephora, it's kind of annoying, but if you aren't interested in buying it i would suggest not to try it on
It's quite normal. It is frustrating if it happens a lot with the same people and they never buy anything. Saying that, (I worked at Debenhams for three years in the make-up section), I find it quite acceptable if people come and try things with the intention of EVENTUALLY buying something. A mascara, a lipstick, lipgloss...just once in awhile. Makes up for it all :)
