What are most store's return policies on cosmetics? I know most are refundable but what if you used the item?

im a beauty consultant%26amp;the company i work for won't take them back.i agree with this 100%the product can't be resold so this is a loss to the company.thats why there are people like me,so you don't pick the wrong thing!!What are most store's return policies on cosmetics? I know places like Victorias Secret, MAC, Clinique will take them back no matter what, and I think places like Wlagreens is the same. What are most store's return policies on cosmetics? I know most are refundable but what if you used the item?
I work at Rite Aid. We will take back any makeup product if you don't like it and you have the receipt
Ask first. Some drug stores (maybe Long's??) will let you return a cosmetic item even if it's been used. If it's just not the right color, they will let you return it. It's a GREAT policy! How many times have you purchased a lipstick (and you can't really test it at the store) and get it home and it's TERRIBLE on you. MOre stores should do this. Bath %26amp; Body Works had this policy when I worked there...back whrn they still had makeup.
then thats jsut too bad you cant returned used product.. shoulda known while purchasing.
If there is something wrong with the product then most stores should consider a refund/replacement.

If it is just that you chose the wrong colour - afraid its just tough luck!
Rite Aid has a great return policy for used make-up as long as you have the receipt.
